Rakesh Sharma appointed as President, Board of Ethics and Registration for Indian System of Medicine

Chandigarh: Post approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Government of India, Ministry of AYUSH, has appointed Prof. (Vaidya) Rakesh Sharma as President, Board of the Ethics and Registration for Indian System of Medicine under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
BAMS, MD, Ph.D holder Sharma has twenty-two years of teaching experience and thirty-six years of clinical experience, retired from Govt of Punjab after serving as Director Ayurveda for twelve years.
He also served Punjab as Director Punjab Health Systems Corporation, Chairman, Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine, Punjab; State Drug Licensing Authority; Chairman of State Drug Advisory Committee; Vice Chairman, Punjab State Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicines; Director of Herbal Health Research consortium Pvt. Ltd and Member Secretary State Medicinal Plants Board.
He also performed duties of Principal in the absence of Principal at Government Ayurvedic College for two years and gave services for five years as Professor/Head of Department of Kaya Chikitsa in the same college.
