Ramgarhia Girls College celebrates 100th Birth Anniversary of Giani Bhagat Singh
To mark 100th birth anniversary of Gyani Bhagat Singh, the founder of Ramgarhia Girls College, the college organised a blood donation camp in its campus.
Ludhiana, September 9, 2024: To mark 100th birth anniversary of Gyani Bhagat Singh, the founder of Ramgarhia Girls College, the college organised a blood donation camp in its campus.
The camp was organised by NCC and NSS units of the college in association with Punjab Kesari and Nobel Foundation, Ludhiana.
Abhivijay Chopra, Director, Punjab Kesari group of newspaper, Jalandhar, was the chief guest.
On this day, Rajinder Sharma, Chairman, Noble Foundation, Ludhiana, Dr. B.S.Shah, Shah Nursing Home and Chief Engineer Kuldip Singh PSPCL were also present.
Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, Gurcharan Singh Lotey, and Principals Gurnek Singh, and Uma Panesar also gave their contribution in the camp. A team of doctors and nurses came for collection of blood.
The team was accorded a warm welcome by officiating Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur accompanied by NCC and NSS teacher incharges.
All the donors were asked about their medical history and they filled out the form before donating the blood. Not only staff members and students but people from nearby areas also came ahead and participated in the camp. Every Donor was given a certificate, refreshment and a token of gratitude.
After donating blood, Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, applauded the efforts of the NCC and NSS units and asserted that such camps should be organised on regular basis to emphasis the need of creating awareness among the people about the importance of blood donation.
Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur said that a single drop of blood can make a huge difference. She appreciated the efforts of the donors by saying that making a blood donation is the ultimate sign of solidarity for actions speak louder than words.
At the end of the day, NCC incharge LT. Dr. Seema Sharma and NSS incharges Dr. Harbinder Kaur, Prof. Kiran Bala and Prof. Heena were given vote of thanks for the success of the camp.
