Ramgarhia Girls College organises a 7 day NSS camp

Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana has organised a 7 day long National Service Scheme(NSS) camp in its premises from Dec 23 -29. Under the supervision of Dr. Harbinder Kaur, Kiran Bala and Heena around 150 students from the college have participated in the camp.

Ludhiana, December 23, 2024: Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana has organised a 7 day long National Service Scheme(NSS) camp in its premises from Dec 23 -29. Under the supervision of Dr. Harbinder Kaur, Kiran Bala and Heena around 150 students from the college have participated in the camp. 

Following the theme 'Swachhata hi Seva', 'Environment', 'Health and Hygiene', the camp was inaugurated by Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council accompanied by Principal Dr.Ajit Kaur. The motto of the camp is "Not Me but You". 
NSS Incharges gave green welcome to the President and Principal. 

While talking about the importance of the NSS camp Dr. Kaur emphasized on the need to maintain cleanliness to usher in a healthier society she further added that such camps are instrumental in enriching the social consciousness of people. 

Ranjodh Singh congratulated Program Officers for the camp and stressed the importance of keeping the surroundings clean and averred that one needs to be sensitive towards not only one's personal hygiene but also the surroundings. The Program Officers apprised the volunteers of the activities which will be under taken during the seven days. 

On the very first day, NSS volunteers practiced yoga exercises. Dr. Rimpy Mehani, Head, Dept. of Chemistry delivered a lecture on 'How to save environment by saying No to Plastic'. 
In the evening Session, Dr.Rupali Dhiman, Dept.of English delivered a talk on 'Telephone Conversation and Interview Skills. 

Later, NSS Incharges and volunteers visited slum areas and invited students to join 7 day classes which are going to be conducted in the college campus only. In the late evening, the students played some folk games. The students also registered themselves on 'My Bharat Portal'.
