Chandigarh: In a remarkable achievement, Punjab Sports & Youth Services and NRI Affairs Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi today added another feather in his cap with debut in the list named ‘The Sikh 100’.
 
The list comprises the names of most influential Sikhs of the world and their role in business, education, profession, media, entertainment, sports and charity.
 
This list also includes the name of Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh, Union Minister Mr. Hardeep Puri, Canadian Minister Mr. Harjit Singh Sajjan and Ms. Bardish Kaur Chagger and Finance Minister of Punjab Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal.
 
Former International Shooter Rana Sodhi has not only gained the admiration in sports field but he also has penchant for Classical Music, Cooking and reading of History books. The Member of Punjab Assembly from Guru Har Sahai, Rana Sodhi was first elected MLA in 2002. The Direct Descendant of fouth Sikh Guru-Sri Guru Ram Das Ji, he served as Parliamentary Seretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Sports and Education; Political Secretary to CM Punjab from 2002 to 2004; General Secretary Youth Congress; Ogranising Secretary and General Secretary of PPCC; Chief WHIP Congress Legislative Party; Member of Committee on Questions & References, Committee on Petitions, Committee on Public Accounts and Committee on Estimates and Chairman of Question and References Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
 
Pertinently, ‘The Sikh 100’ is an annual ranking documenting profiles some of the most influential Sikhs from around the world and across all sectors including business, education, profession, media, entertainment, sports and charity.
