Randhawa urges Union Fertilizers Minister for immediate allocation of 2.5 lac MTs of DAP for August
New Delhi/Chandigarh: Punjab Cooperation Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Thursday urged the Union Fertilizers Minister Mr. Mansukh Mandviya for immediate allocation of 2.5 Lac MTs of DAP for the month of August.
S. Randhawa called on the Union Fertilizers Minister in his office at Nirmaan Bhawan, New Delhi this morning in this regard so as to ensure uninterrupted supply of DAP to the farmers as per their requirement during ongoing Kharif season.
Responding to the issue raised by S. Randhawa, Mr. Mandviya assured him that his Ministry would make all out arrangements in advance for adequate allocations of fertilizers so that farmers are not put to any sort of hardship due to its scarcity. The Union Minister also mentioned that his ministry was committed to ensure requisite and timely supply of DAP to all states across the country adding he assured to move required quantities of DAP also well in time in Punjab.
Thanking the Union Minister, S. Randhawa presented a hamper of products of Markfed and Milkfed as a token of gratitude.
S. Randhawa was accompanied by MP Dr. Amar Singh, Registrar Cooperative Societies Mr. Vikas Garg, MD Markfed Mr. Varun Roojam besides OSD (F) Markfed Mr. Gagan Walia.
