Rangoli competition dedicated to the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev was organized in Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, March 22, 2025: The Centre for Historical Studies under the aegis of Postgraduate Department of History, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar celebrated the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev with great reverence today. A rangoli competition was organized on the theme 'Rang De Basanti' dedicated to the martyrs. College Principal Dr. Suman Chopra attended the program as the chief guest. She was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers. Through her speech, she inspired all the students participating in the program to take inspiration from the lives of these martyrs. She informed the students about Bhagat Singh's student life and his writings during imprisonment. On this occasion, MA History students Paramveer Singh and Arshpreet Kaur presented a soulful poem 'Shaheed Bhagat Singh'. Manpreet Kaur also presented her views on the life of Bhagat Singh. In the rangoli competition, Prabhjot got first place, Paramjit Singh and Kundan got second place and Simranjit Kaur and Prerna got third place. Kamalpreet, Khushi, Harpreet Kaur and Rajandeep Kaur were given special prizes. Dr. Karanbir Singh anchored the stage brilliantly. Dr. Amandeep Kaur delivered vote of thanks address. Dr. Geetanjali Mahajan and Dr. Amita Shaheed played the role of judges in this competition. On this occasion, apart from Dr. Balraj Kaur, Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dr. Dinkar Sharma, Dr. Ajit Pal Singh, Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Dr. Kuldeep Sodhi, Prof. Sandeep Kaur, Dr. Sandeep Manan and Prof. Palakpreet Kaur, a large number of students were present.
