Rangoli Competition organised in Lyallpur Khalsa College
A rangoli making competition on ‘Viral Diseases’ was organized by Post Graduate Department of Biotechnology of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar in association with Microbiologists Society of (MBSI) India, in which 39 students belonging to 13 teams from B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. Medical and M.Sc. Biotechnology streams participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Biotechnology, B.Sc. Medical and M.Sc. Biotechnology streams participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Dr. Inderjeet Kaur, Coordinator of Microbiologists Society, Punjab State unit welcomed the Principal of the college Dr. Jaspal Singh, Dean Research Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, other faculty members and participants. Speaking on the occasion and congratulating the department for organising the event, Principal Dr Jaspal Singh said that such activities are organized in order to make aware the students about viral diseases so that students can gain knowledge and also make others aware about such themes.
Dr Arun Dev Sharma HOD motivated and appreciated students for their unique ideas and aesthetic skills. Dr. Inderjeet Kaur introduced about the MBSI to the participants. She mentioned the threat and drastic effect of viral diseases on the livelihood of human beings with special reference to covid-19. She explained the primary goal of these type of function to the society. Kritika, Tanya and Manveer Singh from B.Sc. Biotech 3rd Semester won the first prize while the Second prize was bagged by Shaweta, Mehak and Dupinder Kaur of B.Sc. Medical 5th Semester. Tanu Sharma, Silky of M.Sc. Biotechnology class bagged the 3rd position.
Dr. Gurpreet Singh and Prof. Gobind Ram were the judges while Amrita proposed a vote of thanks and announced the results.
