Rashtriya Sewa Bharati’s 3-days-long Rashtriya Sewa Sangam to be hosted in Jaipur from 7-9 April
More than 4000 representatives and voluntary service organisations will attend the event based on “Self-reliant & Prosperous India” theme
Rashtriya Sewa Bharti, an organization active in the service sector for twenty years, is going to organise Rashtriya Sewa Sangam in Jaipur from 7th to 9th April. More than 4000 representatives of 1000+ voluntary service organizations dedicated to social development are going to participate in the 3rd edition of Mahasangam of Seva Bharti. Self-reliant & Prosperous India will be the theme grand Rashtriya Sewa Sangam 2023. During a press conference at the Press Club of India, New Delhi, on 21 March 2023, Rashtriya Sewa Bharti made an official announcement about these developments.
Key speakers at the press conference included National President of the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati Pannalal Bhansali and General Secretary Renu Pathak. The eminent leaders threw light on the special Sewa Karya done by RSB, the challenges faced by them and the organisations’ efforts in rural as well as urban India. During the conference, it was highlighted that RSB has provided employment to over 25,000 people in just a year and the social group’s constant contribution in fields such as education, health, skill development, and women empowerment.
“The primary focus of the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati is to provide equal education and training opportunities for all to empower every individual of the country towards realizing the government’s vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat or Self-reliant India. The main and implicit objective of the Rashtriya Sewa Sangam is to build a harmonious, capable, and self-reliant society and a prosperous India by establishing synergy between the collective efforts of the voluntary organizations associated with Rashtriya Sewa Bharati,” stated National President of the Rashtriya Sewa Bharati Pannalal Bhansali.
“Sewa Bharti is an umbrella organisation with the motto of 'Nar Seva Narayan Seva', which encourages and supports voluntary organizations serving the deprived, deprived, neglected and suffering brothers. Sewa Bharti is trying to bind the society and making it strong and harmonious through a total of 43045 service projects including 16184 efficiency projects, 10513 health projects, 6805 self-help projects, 9543 social projects. 12187 self-help groups are being operated in 117 districts of the country, in which there are about 120000 members. Among these groups, 2451 groups are active in the works of self-reliance. Self-help groups are being run in 55 districts of the country in Vaibhavshree Rachna. There are 27494 members in these,” added Shri Pannalal Bhansali
During the conference, deliberations were also made on how Rashtriya Sewa Bharti has been fervently dedicated to educating, training and empowering women across the country. Recently Rashtriya Sewa Bharti has undertaken key initiatives like Run for Girl Child in Hyderabad and Kishori Vikas programme to promote women's empowerment. Awareness of Rashtriya Sewa Bharati's past accomplishments, organisation's vision and objectives for the next five years were also discussed. Furthermore, the RSB activists informed the gathering regarding future activities on self-reliance for women and youth in urban areas and distributed books. The key speakers also spoke on the importance of the Rojgaar Policy in Pali, Rajasthan, and its effectiveness in creating livelihood opportunities.
“Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has always been active towards supporting society during any moment of crisis, and our volunteers have provided medical, food, and monetary assistance during the turbulent times of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have also been working for the betterment of people from every section of society. Over the years, Rashtriya Sewa Bharati has taken several measures to ensure healthy child nutrition,” said RSB General Secretary Renu Pathak.
Recently, to mark the inauguration of the Rashtriya Sewa Sangam, Rashtriya Sewa Bharati worshipped the ‘Matribhoomi’ through “Bhoomi Poojan”. The Bhoomi Poojan program held on 9 March was graced by the presence of All India President of Rashtriya Sewa Bharti Panna Lal Bhansali, RSB Vice-president Shrawan Kumar and other top officials and workers of RSS.
