RDC Preparatory and Combined Annual Training Camp of NCC Cadets concluded

Jalandhar, October 26, 2024: Combined annual training camp of NCC cadets and third preparatory camp for the Republic Day participants under the leadership of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion concluded at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology. 

In this ten-day camp, 600 NCC cadets learned the military training and NCC curriculum in depth and resolved to adopt it in life. On the ninth day of the training, an inter company drill competition was organised. All the cadets participated in various categories of drill competition. The cadets were explained in detail about quarter guard inspection and its importance. In the evening, various cultural competitions were organised and the winning teams were felicitated with prizes. 

Dr. Sudhir Sharma, Principal, DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology and Colonel MS Sachdev, Commanding Officer, 2 Punjab NCC Girls Battalion graced the occasion with their presence. He honored the female students who performed well in the camp. In the concluding speech of the camp, Camp Commandant Colonel Vinod Joshi said that motive of the NCC is to prepare honest and responsible citizens for the nation. Cadets must participate in personality development programmes, sports, cultural events and sharpen thier skills. Colonel Joshi thanked the Principal, DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology; Associate NCC officers, Army Trainers of Battalion Headquarters, Civil Staff and trainers of other units for being successful in imparting good training for the future of the country.

Colonel Joshi said that now cadets are going to Ropar Academy for RDC selection and it would be a matter of pride for us if good number of cadets attend the coming Republic Day parade at national capital.
