As part of the vibrant Poshan Maah celebrations, students of M.Sc. Foods and Nutrition at Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, gave a nutritious makeover to the beloved street food Pav Bhaji, captivating the taste buds of visitors while promoting the importance of nutrition.
Chandigarh, September 17, 2024: As part of the vibrant Poshan Maah celebrations, students of M.Sc. Foods and Nutrition at Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, gave a nutritious makeover to the beloved street food Pav Bhaji, captivating the taste buds of visitors while promoting the importance of nutrition.
The students reimagined the traditional dish, enriching it with nutrient-packed vegetables and a reduced-oil recipe to offer a wholesome, yet delicious, version of the popular favourite. This creative reinvention reflected the essence of Poshan Maah drawing a large footfall throughout the day. The overwhelming response encouraged the students to explore entrepreneurial skills, offering them a real-world opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge.
Principal, Prof. Sudha Katyal, commended the efforts and ability of the students to blend health and taste. The cafeteria was lauded as a successful initiative that showcased the role of diet in improving public health and encouraged everyone to embrace healthier food choices.
