Ludhiana, February 2, 2017: District Administration today celebrated its success at Kartar Singh Sarabha Market in view of setting up of two national records and successful accomplishment of voter awareness programme for the upcoming Punjab Assembly Elections 2017. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Sh. Ravi Bhagat cut a cake of 50 k.g.

It is worth mentioning that district administration had done a lot of activites including I Vote I Lead under the voter awareness campaign. Out of them, two events were greatly applauded and accepted by the voters and these two events set up new national records for India Book of Records. On 30 January, more than 6000 voters clicked their photographs collectively with their epics and on 31 january, 17525 voters of Ludhiana made a human chain with their hands in hand under the leadership of a newspaper group.

Besides, mobile application ECI 360 launched by the district administration for the convenience of the voters, media and candidates has also got a huge applause. More than 30 thousand people have already downloaded this app. This app is also being downloaded till today by a large number of people on android and ios. Sh. Bhagat made an appeal to the voters to set up a new national record through their maximum participation in voting.

This cake was got prepared by Sh. Harjinder Singh Kukreja, owner of Belfrence Hot Bread who announced that he would make a discount of 20 percent in Yellow Chilli and Hot Bread for the first time votes till January 6. Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Additional Election Officer Ms. Apneet Riyat, founder of Initiators of Change Sh. Gauravdeep Singh and many others were also present on the occasion. A Street Play (Nukkar Natak) was also presented by the students of Bajaj College.
