RELEASE OF DA AND ARREARS: Demands pensioners joint front

Ferozepur, November 9, 2012: Under instructions of Pensioners Joint Front, the pensioners of Ferozepur, under the leadership of O. P. Gaba, advocate, convener, Mohinder Singh, general secretary and Ajmer Singh, president, today staged protest in front of the deputy commissioner officers to protest against the anti-pensioner’s policies of the Punjab government.

Addressing the pensioners, O. P. Gaba, Mohinder Singh, Ajmer Singh, Harnam Singh, Puran Singh Sethi, Jaipal Sharma, Jagdish Lal Monga, Dewan Chand, Ramesh Kumar Grover, Chandu Lal and Nachhatar Singh strongly condemned the anti-pensioners decision of Punjab government and non-release 7 per cent DA installment. 

They said, the government is making a mockery of the interests of pensions of about 3 lakh pensioners.

Pensioners association leaders demanded immediate release of  7 per cent DA installment before the Diwali festival besides the payment on account of arrears of 43 months as agreed upon with the pension for the month of November, 2012.
