Chandigarh, March 17, 2022: Panjab University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Raj Kumar released the Activity and IPR Sensitizing Video created by DST-Centre for Policy Research (CPR) in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The booklet release event was graced by the presence of Prof. Renu Vig, Dean University Instruction (DUI), PU, Chd.; Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Dean Research, PU, Chd. and Prof. Kashmir Singh, Coordinator, DST-Centre for Policy Research.
The booklet and animated video, is with a mandate to disseminate and bring awareness of the key activities undertaken by the CPR in the science, technology and innovation policy domain at the national and international front. The animated video is one of its kind initiative to bring mass awareness of Intellectual Property protection and Filling process across the university and its affiliated colleges. The video is captivating and illustrative and is developed with a focus to sensitize the University/colleges researchers and faculty towards the same. This video entitled How to File A Patent Through Panjab University free of Cost will be uploaded on the official website of DST-CPR and Panjab University also will be circulated amongst all the teaching departments of the University, affiliated colleges and other learning centres. This interactive video will help the researchers to know about the steps and organizations involved in in the process of patent filing.
Vice-Chancellor, PU, Chd., Prof Raj Kumar, appreciated the efforts undertaken by Prof. Kashmir Singh and his team on sensitization of Intellectual Property Rights and strengthening the Science, technology and innovation ecosystem of the region to address.
