Relief for small industry consumers
Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) had arranged a meeting with Er.Daljit Inderpal Grewal Director of Distribution, PSPCL and appraised him about various problems faced by the industry.
Ludhiana, May 2, 2022: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) had arranged a meeting with Er.Daljit Inderpal Grewal Director of Distribution, PSPCL and appraised him about various problems faced by the industry. All senior officials of PSPCL, Harjot Singh Gill, Chief Engineer-Central, Ludhiana, Jagdev Singh Hans, SE-East Circle, Ludhiana and Raman Vashishat, SE-West Circle, Ludhiana also accompanied the director.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President-CICU and Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary-CICU highlighted that the industry is facing huge losses due to interrupted power supplies now & then from PSPCL. PSPCL stops the supplies without any prior information due to which the factories face huge losses not only in the form of production but also in the form of breakdown of sophisticated machinery.
K.K Garg, President of North India Furnaces Association, Rajnish Ahuja, President of Apex Chamber of Industry & Commerce and D.S Chawla, President of UCPMA, also highlighted issues i.e Fixed charges to be removed for the time of non-supply of the power. It was also suggested that private companies or temporary staff should be hired to handle maintenance issues as staff is short with PSPCL.
Jaswinder Thukral, President of Janta Nagar Small Scale Industry requested director to provide relief to consumers of mixed used land as they have small connections.
Er. Daljit Inderjit Grewal, Director-Distribution, PSPCL assures that PSPCL will take industry into confidence before finalizing any power cut. He also assured that there will be no power cuts and power supplies will be improved in future.
Harjot Singh Gill, Chief Engineer, shared the dates of new sub-stations which are coming up in the future in and around Ludhiana.
Industry welcomed the announcements made by the director, chief engineer who have assured that the power position would be better in the coming days. He assured that information to consumers will improve, maintenance staff will be more accountable and repair time will decrease and there will be no unscheduled power cuts.
The meeting was attended by S.B Singh, Honey Sethi. Gautam Malhotra, Charanjiv Singh, Aman Bassi, Dev Gupta, Ajmer Singh Chahal, Sanjeev Jain, Naresh Bansal and other prominent industrialists.
