Remove waste furniture from corridors of Secretariat

Chandigarh, August 24, 2012: The Punjab Government today issued orders to remove waste furniture lying in the corridors of Punjab Civil Secretariat.

These orders were issued on the recommendation of committee to check the inflammable items and report of Chief Fire Officer, Mohali.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of General Administration Department said that the Punjab Government had constituted a committee to locate the inflammable items.

He said that the Chief Fire Officer, Mohali had conducted checking at civil secretariat. He added it was noticed that most of the exit areas the corridors at civil secretariat have been choked with the unused and wasteful furniture, which could cause a big hurdle during rescue operation at emergency situations.
