Renowned cartoonist Sandeep Joshi shares the art of making cartoons in a three day happiness creation workshop at MDU

Renowned cartoonist Sandeep Joshi expressed these sentiments as the keynote speaker in a workshop organized under the joint aegis of MDU's Psychology Department and Happiness Laboratory.

Rohtak, March 20, 2025: Happiness is a journey, not a destination. To find it, we have to look inside ourselves and identify those small things that make us happy. Renowned cartoonist Sandeep Joshi expressed these sentiments as the keynote speaker in a workshop organized under the joint aegis of MDU's Psychology Department and Happiness Laboratory.
The first day of this three-day happiness creation workshop organized in the Conference Bhawan of CDOE on the occasion of International Day of Happiness was dedicated to Happiness through Expressive Art. Keynote speaker, renowned cartoonist Sandeep Joshi said that through art we can recognize the sources within us and move towards a lasting happiness. Art not only enhances creativity, but also provides peace of mind and happiness. He shared the art of making cartoons through sketches, colors and brushes and made the participants feel the happiness arising from it.
In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh said that happiness does not depend only on external circumstances, but it is related to our thinking and attitude. He said that positive thinking, mutual encouragement and appreciation help in being oneself. The Vice Chancellor shared his life experiences and discussed the sources of happiness in life. He appreciated this Sukh Srujan Workshop initiative of the Department of Psychology and Happiness Laboratory.
CDOE Director Prof. Naseeb Singh Gill talked about adopting a positive attitude for happiness in life. At the beginning of the program, Head of the Department of Psychology Prof. Anjali Malik gave the welcome speech and highlighted the theme of this three-day Sukh Srujan Workshop. She said that this workshop is being organized with the aim of promoting happiness and satisfaction in life.
Happiness Laboratory in-charge Professor Dr. Deepti Hooda expressed gratitude in the end. Prof. Deepti Hooda said that happiness is such a feeling that makes life meaningful. She said that happiness lies in caring and sharing.
Professor of Psychology Department - Prof. Shalini Singh, Prof. Sarvdeep Kohli, Dr. Shashi Rashmi, Dr. Bindu Ahlawat, Head of Computer Science and Application Department Prof. Preeti Gulia, Professor of English Department Dr. Sheelu Chaudhary, Director Public Relations Sunit Mukherjee, PRO Pankaj Nain, Visual Communicator Pawan Malhotra along with professors, research scholars and students were present. Happiness through Musical Expression workshop will be organized on March 21 and Happiness through Creative Self Expression Sukh Srujan workshop will be organized on March 22.
