Ferozepur, July 9, 2023: Due to heavy rains yesterday, the BSF fencing on Indo-Pakistan border got reportedly damaged at few points following which the BSF had increased the vigil there. As per information, around 50 ft area of the fencing was affected due to land subsiding at near BOP Lakha Singh Wala in Ferozepur sector.

One of the BSF officials on the condition of anonymity said that in such cases, where land subsiding takes places due to heavy rain, extra forces are deployed till the time fencing gets repaired. “At the point near BOP Lakha Singh Wala, the breach has been filled with mud during late hours with the help of local villagers. The repair work is under progress and will be completed by tomorrow”, said BSF official adding that such breach or land subsiding along the fence are natural the BSF is equipped to face such situation.
