The research review meeting of Punjab Agricultural University Regional Research Station Gurdaspur was held at Committee room of KVK, Gurdaspur on July 2 to review the research work of various research schemes.

Ludhiana, July 3, 2024: The research review meeting of Punjab Agricultural University Regional Research Station Gurdaspur was held at Committee room of KVK, Gurdaspur on July 2 to review the research work of various research schemes.

The Director of Research Dr AS Dhatt was the chairman of the review committee, while Dr GS Mangat ADR, Dr Bikramjit Singh Gill, Associate Director KVK Amritsar (Nominee of Director of Extension Education), Dr GS Manes ADR, Dr TS Dhillon, Head, Deptt of Vegetable Science, Dr HS Rattanpal Head Deptt of Fruit Science, Dr PS Sandhu Head, Deptt of Plant Pathology, Dr GS Sangha (Nominee of Head, Deptt of Entomology) were the committee members.

The Director, Regional Research Station, Dr Bhupinder Singh Dhillon, welcomed the Chairman of the committee with bouquet of flowers and also welcomed the officers of allied departments, university officers and other staff on joining research review meeting.

Dr Bhupinder Singh Dhillon presented the action taken report and progress made during the period of August 2019 to July 2023. The individual scientist presented the work done during the period. The committee suggested several valuable facts for the improvement of the research work at Regional Research Station.

Dr AS Dhatt, Director of Research PAU encourage the scientist to work for the advancement of the science for the welfare of society. They asked the scientist to focus on the improvement and refinement of technologies for sugarcane, oilseed, pulses, vegetables, fruits and millets and other crops of economic importance in addition to Rice and Wheat.

Dr SS Aulakh, Associate Director, KVK Gurdaspur, thanked the Director of Research Dr AS Dhatt and their team for valuable inputs for the improvement of the research work of the station.
