RESIDENTS of BRS Nagar (Block B&C) celebrates `World Save Water Day’

Ludhiana, March 22, 2013: Residents of BRS Nagar (Block B and C) celebrated `World Save Water Day’ today.

They assembled in the early morning and took out a march through all the lanes, creating awareness among the masses about the importance of the day. They were also carrying banners in their hands revealing about the importance of saving water. They told the masses that water was the source of life, therefore, there was a need to use it judiciously.

They even quoted `salok’ of Guru Nanak Dev; “Pavan Guru Pani Pita, Mata Dharat Mahat”, which meant Air is the Guru, Water the Father, and Earth is the Great Mother.

Residents decided to continue the campaign in the future too. They decided that they would carry the campaign when they would arrive at a common place during the morning walk in the locality.

Among others, M.S. Dhaliwal, Suraj Jyoti, Dr. Balbir Singh, Subhash Gupta, SP Karkara, Kamlesh Gupta, Kartar Singh Sethi, Kartar Kaur Takkar, T.S. Pahwa, DS Gulati, Prof. Walia and Dr. Kohli participated in the campaign.
