MP BITTU ANNOUNCED RS 5 LAKH GRANT FOR THE VILLAGE
MLA VAID ASSURES UNINTERRUPTED DEVELOPMENT FOR THE VILLAGE
Ludhiana, July 28, 2018: The residents of Manakwal village of Ludhiana district have declared themselves to be drug free. Member of Parliament Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu and MLA Gill Mr Kuldeep Singh Vaid today congratulated the village residents and said that they have proved themselves to be role models for the entire state. Mr Bittu had reached the village to congratulate the village residents and attend a function in this regard.
It is pertinent to mention that to prove themselves to be drug free, the village residents had approached the Commissioner of Police Ludhiana and Civil Surgeon Ludhiana, after which a team of District Health Department had visited the village and had showed satisfaction upon checking.
While speaking on the occasion, MLA Mr Vaid assured all possible help to the city residents and promise uninterrupted development for the entire village.
Kanwar Harpreet Singh, Chairman, Public Welfare and Publicity Cell of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, and a residents of village Manakwal said that they have been able to make the village drug free only due to the motivation by the elders. Village Sarpanch Mr Gurchet Singh listed the achievements of the village cricket team and other sports activities.
MP Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu met the village cricket team and honoured them with certificates. He also announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the village and also stated that more grant would be issued for the village health club and other development works. He also announced that an open gym would also be opened in the village.
