Ludhiana, February 5, 2013: Kurukshetra University defeated Namdhari XI (3-0) on the second day of 7th All India Jagtar Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament being played at Pirthipal Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.
Kurukshetra University was leading with the score 1-0 in the half time. In the second half too, they maintained the lead till victory.
Kurukshetra University’s Naveen Sagwan exhibited good performance. He did initial two goals in the match.
In second match of the day, Surjit Hockey Academy, Jalandhar defeated Center for Excellence, Patiala (4-1).
In third match, Sports Authority of India, Lucknow beat Jai Bharat Academy, Delhi (7-1).
In the fourth match of the day, SAI, Bhopal defeated Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana XI (6-2).
Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Sunil Jarkhar was the chief guest today.
