NEW YORK, July 12, 2017: Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider, today introduced user experience enhancements for Reuters.com including a new article page design that puts Reuters journalism at center stage. The redesign, with its clear and clean focus on Reuters content, features:

Prominent use of Reuters striking imagery
Simplified navigation, including a trending topics section at the top of each page
Content widgets, such as interactive stock tickers, maps and in-line video that deliver supporting information to article content
Personalized scroll feature, designed to drive new content discovery
Fully responsive pages, optimized for viewing on all platforms
"The new Reuters.com story pages enable us to present our world-class journalism with stronger multi-media elements and richer context, greatly improving the reader's experience," said Reuters Editor-in-Chief Stephen Adler."

“The article page redesign is central to upgrading the Reuters.com user experience,” said Isaac Showman, Managing Director of Reuters Consumer. “The refreshed and simplified look, combined with new personalization features that drive content discovery, are the first in a series of steps we’re taking to better showcase Reuters premier journalism.”

Reuters is also introducing three new fully-responsive ad solutions that will increase consumer engagement and retention. The new ad solutions supplement existing Reuters ad units and include:

Interval ad units – native in-line placements designed for promoting marketers' content
Canvas ad units – bold, full-width, branding placements that offer the immersive quality of magazine advertising on the web
Content marketing packages – sponsored content created by Reuters Plus, Reuters custom-content studio, in consultation with marketers
HP Inc. and Synchrony Financial have signed on as the first clients for the new Canvas ad units.

Designed by award-winning digital agency Ueno, the redesign spans all editions of Reuters.com article pages with the exception of Japanese and Arabic language sites which will be updated later this year.
