Chandigarh: The revamp work of the footpaths is in full swing at Panjab University these days. The work has started with the replacement of old and broken tiles of the footpath by the ‘Paver-Blocks’. In the first phase, the work of fixing the paver-blocks has started on the pedestrian infrastructure from Gate 1 to Administrative Block.

PU VC stated that the move is in furtherance of the ‘Global Plan for the Action for Road Safety’ and aims to meet the special requirements for students, women, children, senior citizens, differently-abled persons, and other pedestrians relating to road safety and traffic management.
