Ludhiana, November 5, 2019: A review meeting of Punjab government’s Mission Tandrust Punjab was held at the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) in District Administrative Complex, here today.
This meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh and was attended by senior officials of the District Administration.
During the meeting, she directed the officials of health department and Dairy Development to intensify sampling of milk and milk products, sweets and other eatables. The health department officials informed that various samples of milk and milk products were taken in the month of October and they have been sent for checking in the government lab. The MC officials informed that to check use of banned polythene bags in the city, and challans of Rs 2,000 each were issued to the shopkeepers in the month of October 2019.
The Dairy Development officials informed that free milk testing camps were organised in district Ludhiana in October 2019 and during these camps, the milk is tested for milk fat, SNF, protein, density, water and urea, caustic soda, sugar, salt etc. They further informed that the dairy farmers as well as residents can get their milk tested totally free of cost from the office of Deputy Director, Dairy Development Department, Ludhiana, at 598-L, Model Town, Ludhiana (phone number 0161-2400223) on any working day.
ADC (D) Mrs Amrit Singh directed all the departments under Mission Tandrust Punjab to send their progress reports on time. She also asked them to work jointly for the success of this programme.
