Ludhiana: Fifth edition of comprehensive textbook entitled “Review of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology was released in the Department of Forensic Medicine, DMCH. The book is authored by Dr Gautam Biswas (Professor & Head of Forensic Medicine, DMCH) and has been updated as per the recent National Medical Commission guidelines on competency development for the medical students. The book comprises chapters on various aspects of forensic medicine including forensic psychiatry, forensic science, corrosive poisons, irritant poisons, and poisons acting on the brain and spinal cord. In addition, the book consists of several diagrams and illustrations to help understand the concepts better.
