RGC celebrates “Dheeyan di Lohri”
Lohri Festival was celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm at Ramgarhia Girls College Ludhiana. The day began with seeking blessings from the Almighty to mark the beginning of new year.

Ludhiana, January 13, 2025: Lohri Festival was celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm at Ramgarhia Girls College Ludhiana. The day began with seeking blessings from the Almighty to mark the beginning of new year.
Ranjodh Singh, President of the Ramgarhia Educationcal Council, Janmeja Singh Johl, the chief guest, Dr. Ajit Kaur, the college Principal and all faculty members graced the occasion with their presence. An academic book release session was also held where Janmeja Singh Johl released his new book ‘Mere Kaarname’.
Principals of all the schools run by the Ramgarhia Educational Council and Gurmeet Singh also attended the festival .The celebrations commenced with the lighting of the lohri bonfire and the folk songs, performance by the students of Music department.The whole campus echoed with the beats of ‘sundar mundriye' while distributing and relishing sweets with peanuts.
President of the Ramgarhia Educational Council, Ranjodh Singh extended his warm wishes to everyone and asserted “We shouldn’t discriminate on the basis of gender while celebrating Lohri or any other festival. Pledging to educate girl child can be the best way to celebrate Lohri.” The college Principal wished students a prosperous year and shared her thoughtful insights into the importance of celebrating Lohri.
General Secretary of the Ramgarhia Educational Council, Gurcharan Singh Lotey also greeted students and the faculty members on Lohri.
