RGC celebrates National Voters’ Day

Ludhiana, January 24, 2025: Under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), National Voters’ Day was celebrated by the Department of Political Science, NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club at Ramgarhia Girls College.
College students were informed about the significance of voting by organising the competitions of Declamation Contest, Poem Recitation, Slogan Writing and Poster making.
College Principal, Dr. Ajit Kaur asserted, “Voting plays a significant role in shaping the future of our country. It’s the basis of democracy. It’s like the voice of every individual that contributes in the making of good government.” Dr. Harpreet Kaur from the Department of Political Science also highlighted the importance of casting vote and said, “Voters day brings awareness among the voters about their rights and duties towards the nation.”
Prizes were distributed among the winners of the competitions.
Students took a pledge to make judicious use of their votes under the able guidance of the incharges of NSS, Dr. Harbinder and Prof. Kiran Bala from the Department of Political Science.
