RGC organises alumni meet

Ludhiana, March 12, 2022: Annual Alumni Meet was conducted in Mata Tripta Ji Hall on Saturday. Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council was the Chief Guest. Gurcharan Singh Lotey, Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, was the Guest of Honour.  

The programme commenced with the recitation of Shabad by the students of P.G. Department of Music. The aim of the alumni meets is to promote and foster interaction amongst the alumni and the faculty members and to cherish and reminisce students’ journeys. 

Prof. Tajinder Kaur warmly welcomed all the old students. Remembering the spectacular  history of 52 years of RGC,   President Ranjodh Singh in his address asserted that it has been a tremendous journey so far replete with so many proud achievements. Overwhelmed by witnessing the achievements of the former students of the college, Officiating Principal, Dr. Rajeshwar Pal Kaur expressed her views by saying that it feels great to maintain a relationship with alumni. The college has a legacy and rich heritage of more than five decades where along with achieving excellent results and high positions in various fields the college makes every effort to stay connected with the previous students who made the history of this institution a glorious one. About 50 alumni, working in various schools and colleges, attended the meet. 

Mandeep Dhir, Principal, Ramgarhia Girls Senior Secondary School and alumnus of the college, felt nostalgic while talking about the opportunities given to her by the college and said that this college has always encouraged her to make a place to herself. Several other old students like Komalpreet Kaur, Manjot Kaur, Manisha, Anudeep, Prabhjot Kaur, Harsimran Singh and Suman Kumari  who have made a successful career shared their experiences and reminisced of days  gone by.They gave credit to the faculty of the college for giving them wings to fly. 

Students of P.G. Department of Music entertained the gathering with melodious numbers. At the end, members of the organizing committee Prof. Tajinder Kaur, Dr. Ajit Kaur and Prof. R. D. Chawla thanked all present.
