RGI inter-college competition on “World Nature Conservation Day” via online mode
E-slogan competition was won by Shalu Chawla Dasmesh Girls College of Education, Badal
Mohali: Rattan Group of Institutions Sector 78 organized an inter-college competition on “World Nature Conservation Day via online mode under the patronage and guidance of Dr. Amritpal Kaur, Principal and Dr. Mandeep Kaur activity coordinator.Various colleges of the region participated in the competition . E-Poster, E-slogan, Best out of waste and selfie with nature events were the part of this competition. The main objective of the event was to instill the feelings of warmth and affection towards nature in the students. Besides this, it aims to propagate awareness about the practices to conserve our natural resources and encourage sustainability.
In e-poster competition, Parul Nagpal of Dashmesh Girls College of Education, Badal & Lalit Chauhan of Arya College, Ludhiana won first prize, Aditi Rawat of Guru Gobind Singh College for women-26 got second prize, Isha Sood of GHG Institute of law for Women & Anusuia Rani D.A.V. College of Education, Abohar bagged third prize.
E-slogan competition, was won by Shalu Chawla Dasmesh Girls College of Education, Badal whereas Kirti G.H.G. Institute of law for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana and Navneet Kaur Dasmesh Girls College of Education, Badal got second and third Prize respectively.
In Best out of waste competition, Navjot Kaur of G.H.G. Institute of law for Women, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana & Ankit Sahni of Rattan Professional Education College, Mohali got Ist prize, Baljinder Kumar of Dashmesh Girls College of Education, Badal & Prabhjot Kaur of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women-26) won second prize.
In selfie with nature competition Anmol saini Rattan Professional Education College, Mohali, Nehal & Ritika of Pratap College of Education bagged Ist, IInd and IIrd Prize respectively. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman RGI Sunder Lal Aggarwal informed that Merit e-Certificates shall be sent to all awardees. E-Certificates of participation shall also be given to encourage students to participate in such events. The aim of celebrating World Nature Conservation Day is to come together and support nature and not to exploit it. Conservation of nature is the wise management and utilisation of natural resources. So, it is important to raise awareness among the residents to understand the importance of saving resources, recycle it, preserve it and also understand the consequences of damaging it for the next generation, According to him it is necessary to preserve the natural resources.
