Rich students are going to coaching, poor are deprived of schools: Kulbhushan Sharma

Chandigarh January 3, 2025: State President of Federation of Private Schools Welfare Association, Haryana and National President of NISA Kulbhushan Sharma has written a letter to the Chief Minister, Education Minister and Director of Education demanding permission for students of class 10th and 12th to come to school to get their doubts related to subjects resolved.

Kulbhushan Sharma said that India is a country of different seasons, where rain, summer and winter season keep coming from time to time. The calendar of our schools is also running according to the same old structure made by the British.

He said with time, two systems have developed in education such as traditional school education system, in which all types of children, common and special, get education; and coaching system, in which only children from special types of families get education.

Sharma said that when the government declares holidays, children from rich families continue their education through coaching institutes and tuition centres, as these institutes are not affected by these holidays. Whereas the children of poor parents, who generally depend on their schools, their education is completely disrupted. This directly affects their exam results.

He has demanded that poor students should be allowed to come to school for doubt classes so that their education is not adversely affected.
