Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri Actress Eshaa Pathak on Wearing a Heavy Lehenga in This Heat: Even Going to the Washroom Makes You Think Twice

Weddings on television might look like a dreamy affair with stunning outfits, dazzling sets, and romantic music but behind the scenes, it’s a whole different story. Eshaa Pathak, who plays the character Gauri in Sun Neo’s show Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri, is currently shooting for one of the biggest highpoints of the story Gauri and Rudra’s wedding. And while she looks breathtaking as a bride, the experience of shooting in such a heavy lehenga during summer is no easy task.

Speaking about the challenges she faces while shooting in such a heavy look Eshaa shared, “Right now, with so much drama going on in the show, my character is finally getting married to Rudra. And for the wedding, they've given me an extremely heavy lehenga to wear and in this heat, it's definitely challenging. When we shoot scenes in such heavy costumes, it definitely gets tough. Moving around in this heavy lehenga is not easy at all. Sometimes, even going to the washroom makes you think twice — like, should I go now or wait? And if there’s no AC or less ventilation, it becomes even more suffocating because of the weight and heat. But we still manage it, because the love and appreciation we get from the audience makes it all worth it.”

The Rishto Se Bandhi Gauri actress further added, “When we wear such costumes, it’s for long continuity scenes, so we have no choice but to adjust. Once you’re in the outfit, you can't really take it off, so the only option is to find ways to stay comfortable and focused. It’s not always easy, but at the end of the day, we love what we do. So no matter how challenging it gets, it still feels good and fulfilling.”
