Rithvikk Dhanjani gets candid about his idea of dating and marriage while discussing Amazon MX Player’s Half Love Half Arranged S2
Mumbai, November 20, 2024: Amazon MX Player, Amazon's free video streaming platform, recently released the much-awaited second season of the popular rom-com series, Half Love Half Arranged. The latest season takes viewers back to the rib-tickling, chaotic, and heartfelt world of the Tanwars, with Riya, a gynaecologist, finally finding her ‘Mr. Perfect’ in Jogi. However, their fledgling romance takes an unexpected turn when Ved enters Riya’s life as a supporter and admirer, leaving her with conflicting emotions. What will Riya do? Who will she choose between Jogi and Ved? Will she ever stop second-guessing and commit? These questions form the crux of Half Love Half Arranged Season 2. The series boasts a stellar cast, including Maanvi Gagroo, Karan Wahi, Rithvikk Dhanjani, Shruti Jolly, Supriya Shukla, Grusha Kapoor, Amit Singh Thakur, and Bhavya Grover in pivotal roles.
Rithvikk Dhanjani, who brings the charming Ved to life in the series, shares his take on dating. He says, “To be honest, I am not familiar with the world of dating apps at all because I've never been on one, and I don't really know how it functions. I am still very old school when it comes to dating and meeting someone. It will always have to be meeting someone via an encounter. I believe in the old school way of approaching, being chivalrous while asking a woman out on a date. To me, that is something I’d always prefer as opposed to being on the phone and swiping left and right; that's not my idea of dating."
Rithvikk also shared his views on love versus arranged marriages, expressing, “I honestly don’t see this as a competition about what’s better – love or arranged marriage – or which setup works best. What truly matters is finding that one person you can see yourself spending the rest of your life with. It doesn’t matter how you meet them – whether it’s through an arranged setup or you bump into them at a bar, a party, a café, or even a traffic signal. What’s important is holding on to them. The setup is secondary. What counts is being with someone who inspires you to be the best version of yourself and helps you grow into a better human being. That’s what we should all be looking for.”
