Riya Goyal of Ludhiana selected as Judicial Magistrate
Riya Goyal, daughter of Sanjay Goyal has cleared the Punjab Civil Services (Judiciary) Exam and selected to serve State Punjab as Judicial Magistrate.

Ludhiana, October 12, 2023: Riya Goyal, daughter of Sanjay Goyal has cleared the Punjab Civil Services (Judiciary) Exam and selected to serve State Punjab as Judicial Magistrate.
The result was declared late night by the Government of Punjab.
Riya did her schooling from Sacred Heart Convent, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana, completed 10th in 2013 (10 CGPA), 12th in 2015 (95.4% in Commerce stream).
She completed her BA. LLB (hons.) from National Law Institute University, Bhopal in 2020.
Thereafter, she worked as an Associate in a law firm till February 2022. She has been preparing for judiciary since then. It was mostly her self-study but she joined coaching in the end for test series and crash course. She has indebted to her parents and family friends for this success as they always kept her motivated throughout this journey.
She has always liked reading and came across Justice Leila Seth's Autobiography (First Woman) HC Chief Justice of India).
She inspired Riya to prepare for this Exam. She achieved her success only with her hard work and determination despite having no family background in law.
