RO issues notice to BSP-SAD Candidate Nachhatar Pal for violation of MCC in rally

Nawanshahr, February 8, 2022: Nawanshahr Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM)-cum-Returning Officer Dr Baljinder Singh Dhillon issued notice to BSP-SAD candidate Nachhatar Pal for violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during rally by Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on February 8 in grain market of Nawanshahr.
Taking note of videography report of the rally submitted by video surveillance team, he mentioned that the guidelines of Election Commission of India regarding Covid-19 and orders of District Election Officer about holding election rally have been clearly violated.
Dhillon asked the candidate of BSP-SAD Nachhatar Pal to submit the reply within 24-hours otherwise action would be initiated as per directions of ECI and District Election Officer.
