Role of architect important for common man: C R Raju 

Ludhiana, April 8, 2022: Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre and Punjab Chapter organised “Northern Dialogues - Architecture in service of common man” and was attended by more than 600 persons in packed hall of Dr Manmohan Singh Auditorium, PAU, Ludhiana today. 

Ar C R Raju - National President of IIA was Chief Guest and Pardeep Sabharwal- Commissioner Ludhiana Municipal Corporation was Guest of Honour along with MLAs from Ludhiana. 

Sabharwal shared his good thoughts about the architecture profession and its need for the cities too. 

AAP party MLAs Gurpreet Gogi, Jiwan Singh Sangowalia, Daljeet Singh Grewal attended the conference and shared their views on need of architects in making the city/state more livable. 

Ar. Sanjay Goel - Chairman IIA Punjab chapter and one of the director of Ludhiana Smart City Ltd gave the welcome remarks. 

Ar. Charanjit Shah a leading architect of India who had designed many airports, railway stations, malls  and Kartarpur Corridor was the first keynote speaker for today's event who shared his experience on Kartarpur Sahib Corridor and other projects. 

Ar. Krishan Kuriyal - Alumni of IIT Roorkee shared his experience on temple architecture and has also designed cave in Kedarnath Temple, where PM Modi sit for 12 hours.

Ar Puneet Sethi- Chairman Haryana Chapter and COA Member shared his points how architect or architecture is must for common man.

Ar Shashi Mohan - Chairman Uttrakhand Chapter and COA Member explained role of architects in Government projects 

Ar Shiv Dev Singh - Chairman Chandigarh Chapter, Ar Nand Lal Chandel - Chairman Himachal Chapter, Ar Vikas Dubey - Chairman J&K Chapter, Ar Ashish Gupta - Chairman Northern Chapter, Ar K K Asthana - Chairman U P Chapter, Ar Tushar Sogani - Chairman Rajasthan Chapter,  Ar Pritpal Singh Ahluwalia Vice Chairman Punjab Chapter,  Ar Yogesh Singla- Treasurer Punjab Chapter,  Ar Dinesh Bhagat- Joint Secretary Punjab Chapter,  Ar Anmol Pupneja- Joint Secretary Punjab Chapter attended conference with hundreds of Architects. 

Ar Balvir Verma former President of IIA explained the role of Council of architecture and IIA in architects carrier.

Ar Jit Kumar Gupta - Past VP IIA, Ar Surinder Bahga, Ar Harinder Boparai- Chairman Ludhiana Centre, Ar Balbir Bagga- Vice Chairman Ludhiana Centre, Ar Bimaldeep Singh- Secretary Ludhiana Centre, Ar Rajan Tangri - Treasurer Ludhiana Centre, Ar Atul Singla- Chairman Jullundhur Centre, Ar Sanjeev Aggarwal- Chairman Sri Amritsar Centre, Ar Rupinder Ahuja- Chairman Bathinda Sub Centre, Ar Rajinder Sandhu- Chairman Patiala Sun Centre also attended conference.
