Rotary Club of Midtown Ludhiana organised cricket tournament

Ludhiana, May 16, 2018: Rotary Club of Midtown organised a cricket tournament. The final match was played between Rotary Pitch Smashers and Rotary Super Fighters.

Rotary Pitch Smashers won the Toss and elected to bat. They scored 99 runs in stipulated 15 Overs. Their Captain Sunil Budhiraja scored max 23 runs. Ativ Ralli and Dr RK Gupta scored 16 runs each. Hardik and Nitin Shahi claimed 2 wickets each.

Rotary Super Fighters achieved the Target in 13.5 overs. Balkirat Singh scored maximum 22 runs, IBS Nanda scored 12 runs, Aman Kapoor scored 12 runs.

Pankaj Sharma played Captains knock and remained unbeaten on 20 while claiming 1 precious wicket for his team.

The Captain of Rotary Super Fighters, Pankaj Sharma received the Trophy and thanked the crowd for its tremendous support. He also appreciated the great effort put up by young players, Hardik and Krishnav.

He said that such events go a long way to spread the ethics and values of

Rotary International. Mr Sharma also emphasized the importance of events to promote the brotherhood in society.

The Host Club President, Mr jaswinder Singh also thanked the members for such massive support and promised to hold such events in future also.
