Royal Kennel Club Panchkula in collaboration with Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department holds Mega Dog Show
The 6th edition of the much awaited Dog Show in Panchkula attracted pet lovers from Tricity and different places across the country. Organised by Royal Kennel Club Panchkula under the aegis of the Pet Animal Medical Center of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, government of Haryana.
Panchkula, November 17, 2024: The 6th edition of the much awaited Dog Show in Panchkula attracted pet lovers from Tricity and different places across the country. Organised by Royal Kennel Club Panchkula under the aegis of the Pet Animal Medical Center of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, government of Haryana.
On this occasion, District Deputy Director of the Department and In-charge of Dog Center Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon and General Secretary of Royal Kennel Club Panchkula Sikander Singh said that this year the 6th dog show was organised with the participation of Royal Kennel Club Panchkula, where dogs from Tricity (Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali) participated in various competition held under different categories.
Adding more about the event, Sikander Singh informed that this time Shyam Singh Rana, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department graced the occasion as the chief guest, and inaugurated the Pet Ophthalmology Center in the Pet Hospital to initiate operation facilities for the pets and treat their eye related problems. Additional Chief Secretary of the department Dr. Raja Shekhar Vundru, and Director General of the department was the guest of honour while Dr. L.C Ranga was present at the occasion as the special guests.
Giving more information, Sikander Singh said that the dog show was organised in the ground in front of Sector 3 pet hospital and more than 400 dogs of different breeds participated in the event. This collaboration between the Royal Kennel Club Panchkula and the Pet Animal Medical Centre was initiated by Ankur Gupta, ACS Haryana, last year. The result was spectacular, as people and dog lovers from Panchkula and Haryana are now demanding more such shows to be organized in the city.
Deputy Director of the Department Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon told media persons that it will also be useful to make dog lovers aware about indigenous breeds. Giving information related to the dog show, General Secretary of Royal Kennel Club Panchkula Sikander Singh said that this edition was the biggest dog show of North India, and prizes were given under different categories to the winners. He added that several celebrated dog lovers and VIP guests graced the occasion.
Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon said that this edition was liked by the dog lovers and stunts shown by canines specially trained and recruited by the ITBP were highly appreciated by them.
