Royal Kennel Club Panchkula in collaboration with Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department to organise Mega Dog Show on Nov 17
The 6th edition of the much awaited Dog Show in Panchkula is being organised on November 17 by the Pet Animal Medical Center of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, government of Haryana. The department officials held a press conference here to share information related to the mega Show.
Panchkula, November 13, 2024: The 6th edition of the much awaited Dog Show in Panchkula is being organised on November 17 by the Pet Animal Medical Center of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, government of Haryana. On this occasion, District Deputy Director of the Department and In-charge of Dog Center Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon and General Secretary of Royal Kennel Club Panchkula Sikander Singh said that this year the 6th dog show is being organized with the participation of Royal Kennel Club Panchkula, where dogs from Panchkula as well as the entire Tricity will participate in the competition.
Adding more about the event, Sikander Singh informed that this time Shyam Singh Rana, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department be the chief guest at the show, who will also inaugurate the Pet Ophthalmology Center in the Pet Hospital to initiate operation facilities for the pets and treat their eye related problems. Additional Chief Secretary of the department Dr. Raja Shekhar Vundru and Director General of the department Dr. Lal Chand Ranga will also be present at the occasion as special guests.
Giving more information, Sikander Singh said that Pet Animal Health Society and Royal Kennel Club Panchkula have signed a contract with the department for organizing such dog shows for 5 years, and this dog show is being organized under the same contract. He added that the dog show is again being organized in the ground in front of Sector 3 pet hospital and the registrations for the show are being done at the Hospital itself. More than 400 dogs of different breeds will be seen in the show providing an opportunity to the dog lovers to see their favourite ones here.
This collaboration between the Royal Kennel Club Panchkula and the Pet Animal Medical Centre was initiated by Ankur Gupta, ACS Haryana, last year. The result was spectacular, as people from Panchkula and Haryana are now demanding more of these shows
Deputy Director of the Department Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon told media persons that it will also be useful to make dog lovers aware about indigenous breeds. Giving information related to the dog show, General Secretary of Royal Kennel Club Panchkula Mr. Sikander Singh said that this will be the biggest dog show of North India, where prizes will be given under different categories. He added that several celebrated dog lovers, VIP guests and bureaucrats are expected to grace the occasion.
Dr. Ranjit Singh Jadon said that last year too, the dog show was organized at the same venue, which was highly appreciated by all the dog lovers. Keeping the connectivity in mind and to facilitate the dog lovers with ample parking space we have reserved the same spot again. He said that this time stunts will also be shown by canines specially trained and recruited by the ITBP.
Dr. Ashwani, Dr. Devendra Punia, Dr. Tushar, Dr. Vandana, Dr. Pratik and Dr. Amandeep from Pet Hospital were also present during the press conference.
