Rs. 20 Cr releases for purchase of pulses under ‘atta dal’ scheme

Chandigarh, September 13, 2012:The Punjab Government today released Rs. 20 crore for the purchase of Dal under the ‘Atta Dal’ Scheme.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that PUNSUP-the nodal agency for the purchase of Dal under State Government’s flagship program of Atta Dal had already been floated tenders in the open market for its supply.

It may be recalled that State Government had already released of Rs. 200 crore for the purchase of Wheat under the scheme in April, 2012.
