Rubaru-Miss India Elite 2014, Beauty Contest for a cause on Oct 2

Ludhiana, September 25, 2014: City-based well known designer Tanu Vohra is all set to take Ludhiana and Punjab into the national capital, New Delhi, and mesmerise a national and international audience with her breathtaking and innovative creations. She will present her creations in the grand finale for the Rubaru Miss India Elite 2014 to be held in New Delhi on October 2 at Hotel Green Palm, a seven star property. In addition, she has also been selected to be one of the judges on other events at the beauty pageant.
"Rubaru-Miss India Elite 2014, Beauty Contest for a cause” is a very prestigious event. The main motto of this pageant is to aware people about the killing of unborn girls (Female Foeticide), an alarming and frightening reality. Adopting of a new village of Haryana where the sex ratio is at its critical stage and making FD (Fixed Deposits) on birth of every girl child is what we have aimed at. The winner also goes out in many places of North India to spread awareness about Female Foeticide through Seminars and camps etc. in schools and small villages. How close this issue to her heart is was not only clearly visible and her participation to the event is her contribution to the same.
Some of the grooming sessions for the contestants will be taken by her prior to the finale. She has been officially declared as an evening wear partner with, most importantly, the finalist to be crowned with her creation. The 25 finalists of Miss India Elite-2014 were earlier selected from eight different zones from the country on September 16th, 2014 at Hotel Piccadilly, New Delhi.  The eight zones are: Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
The panel of judges, comprising crowned beauties from all over the world, include Miss Bikini International, Diana Irina Boanca (Romania), Miss Heritage World, Tatiana Torres (Ecuador) & Miss Earth, Tereza Fajksova (Czechoslovakia) are supporters of the cause of female foeticide and will be present at the event. The finalist will represent India at the Miss Super Model International 2014 to be held in Korea.
With this our very own city designer Tanu Vohra  is ready to take her esteemed brand Eleganza to another level by opening her franchise in Gurgaon, Delhi in second week of October itself. Already having made her presence felt in America by running a joint venture, The Zari Couture, she is all set for her launch in Delhi.
