The event, held from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at RV University’s Administrative Block, was graced by Rotarian Satish Madhavan, District Governor of RI District 3191, as the chief guest. The celebration commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony and the singing of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of national pride among all attendees.
The highlight of the event was an extensive plantation drive, where participants planted over 50 saplings across the university campus. This initiative underscored RVU's dedication to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Expressing his thoughts on the occasion, Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of RV University, said, "As we commemorate our nation's hard-earned independence, we are also sowing the seeds for a greener, more sustainable future.
