SAD CHIEF SUKHBIR BADAL CREATES HISTORY, WINS WITH A HUGE MARGIN OF 1,98,850 VOTES

UNPRECEDENTED DEVELOPMENT WILL TAKE PLACE DURING MY REGIME IN FEROZEPUR: SUKHBIR

Ferozepur, May 23, 2019: In a one sided contest, SAD Chief and candidate from Ferozepur Sukhbir Singh Badal beat turncoat MP Sher Singh Ghubaya, who had switched to Congress just before the elections with a huge margin of 1,98,850 votes.

Ghubaya who had got lead from Ferozepur (Rural), Guruharsahai, Jalalabad, Fazilka and Muktsar in 2014, could not get lead from any of the nine constituencies this time. Though, earlier he had a meager lead of around 600-800 votes from Guruharsahai constituency, but finally he lost lead from all the assembly constituencies.

From Jalalabad from where he had secured of more than 32000 votes in 2014, he was behind 30,913 votes this time. From Balluana, Sukhbir got lead of 41620 votes, from Ferozepur (Urban) he got lead of 21046 votes, from Ferozepur (Rural) he got lead of 16542 votes, from Guruharsahai he had lead of 7585 votes, from Abohar he had lead of 26429 votes, from Malout he got lead of 16668 votes and from Muktsar Sukhbir got lead of 8277 votes.

While addressing the media persons after receiving the “Certificate” of winning candidate, Sukhbir said that now the residents of this constituency will come to know about the development. “I will plan something “foolproof” for this constituency”, he said.

Meanwhile, Ghubaya raised questions on the EVM machines. “I respect the mandate but I cannot expect to lose with a margin of around two lakh votes”, he added.
