SAE UIET PU Dominates IIT Mandi’s Xpecto 2025, Secures Double Victory in Robowars & Line Follower
Showcasing unparalleled technical expertise and a relentless competitive spirit, SAE UIET Panjab University delivered a remarkable performance at Xpecto 2025, the annual technical fest of IIT Mandi, by securing 1st place in both the Robowars and Line Follower competitions.

Chandigarh, April 3, 2025: Showcasing unparalleled technical expertise and a relentless competitive spirit, SAE UIET Panjab University delivered a remarkable performance at Xpecto 2025, the annual technical fest of IIT Mandi, by securing 1st place in both the Robowars and Line Follower competitions.
This exceptional double victory solidifies SAE UIET’s position as a frontrunner in robotics and automation at the national level. The Robowars team exhibited outstanding engineering, strategic combat skills, and robust mechanical design to claim the top position against some of the toughest contenders, including winners from various IITs and the World Robotics Championship.
Simultaneously, the Line Follower team showcased their precision-driven autonomous bot, defeating strong competitors with superior speed, accuracy, and sensor-based navigation. The Line Follower team comprised Rahul Raj, Gaurav Patel, Shubham Kumar, Divya Soni, Devesh Yadav, Parth Bansal, Shubham Garg, and Sahil Minz, whose innovative approach and technical precision led them to victory. The Robowars team—including Yeeshu, Shivangi Jha, Aryan Sahu, Sarthak Saxena, Pershant, Jatin Bhardwaj, Sankalp Pal, Ghanshyam Kumar, Aaditi Malik, and Vinit—demonstrated unmatched teamwork and tactical execution, dominating the battlefield with their high-performance combat robot.
Expressing immense pride in this achievement, Prof. Sanjeev Puri, Director, UIET, Prof. Shankar Sehgal, Faculty Coordinator, SAE UIET PU, congratulated both teams for their hard work and perseverance.
