Sahodaya Inter-School Face Painting Competition

DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, hosted the Jalandhar Sahodaya Inter-School Face Painting Competition on 5th November 2024, celebrating the creativity and talent of young artists from various schools. The event focused on the themes of SDG Goal No. 5: Gender Equality and SDG Goal No. 3: Good Health and Well-being, encouraging students to use art as a medium to express these vital global goals.

Jalandhar,  December 7, 2024: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, hosted the Jalandhar Sahodaya Inter-School Face Painting Competition on 5th November 2024, celebrating the creativity and talent of young artists from various schools. The event focused on the themes of SDG Goal No. 5: Gender Equality and SDG Goal No. 3: Good Health and Well-being, encouraging students to use art as a medium to express these vital global goals.

The competition was conducted in two categories:
**Category A (Classes IX-X)**
- **First Position**: Shiv Jyoti Public School, Jalandhar
- **Second Position**: Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara
- **Third Position**: Innocent Hearts School GMT, Jalandhar
- **Consolation Prizes**: Sanskriti KMV School, Jalandhar, and Dayanand Model School, Model Town, Jalandhar
- **Appreciation Award**: Sant Raghbir Singh AIMS Public School, Jalandhar

**Category B (Classes XI-XII)**
- **First Position**: Sant Raghbir Singh AIMS Public School, Jalandhar
- **Second Position**: Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara
- **Third Position**: Innocent Hearts School GMT, Jalandhar
- **Consolation Prize**: Lord Mahavir Jain Public School, Phagwara

*Overall Trophy**
The **Overall Trophy** was awarded to **Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara**, for their outstanding performance in both categories.

The competition was judged by renowned artists Ms. Tanvir and Ms. Richa Kochar from Ludhiana, who evaluated the participants based on creativity, thematic relevance, and artistic skill. The judges commended the students for their innovative portrayals of the themes.

Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir lauded the participants for their enthusiastic participation and highlighted the importance of using art to create awareness about pressing global issues like gender equality and health. He congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the Jalandhar Sahodaya Schools Complex for promoting such enriching activities.
