Bengaluru: Sakra World Hospital, a leading multi-specialty healthcare institution, was pleased to announce a collaborative initiative with Phoenix Market City, Bengaluru which raised awareness on lung health and provided free PFT (Pulmonary function test) to the community to commemorate World No Tobacco Day. The event took place recently at Bengaluru's Phoenix Mall.
 

This collaboration, was committed to promoting a healthy community by encouraging individuals to proactively evaluate their lung health. The "Check Your Lungs' Health" campaign offered an opportunity to the visitors at one of the busiest malls in the city to receive a free PFT test, a cutting-edge imaging technology for diagnosing and monitoring lung problems from a team of skilled medical professionals from Sakra World Hospital. Through this test, every participant was given an assessment of their lung health, understand and evaluate the need to take care of their lungs and take appropriate preventive measures.
 

World No Tobacco Day, observed on May 31st every year, serves as a powerful reminder of the significance of quitting smoking and tobacco use. This global event raises awareness about the detrimental impact of tobacco on individuals and communities across the globe. It encourages smokers to embark on a transformative journey towards a healthier life by letting go of this harmful habit and embracing a smoke-free lifestyle.
 

Furthermore, Sakra World Hospital also held an interactive session led by medical professionals who offered essential knowledge on lung health, common respiratory disorders, and the need to take immediate preventive measures.
