Saluting Heroes: Kargil Divas - Remembering Valor and Sacrifice

Jalandhar: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas (26th July), DRV DAV Centenary Public School ,Phillaur commemorated the valor and sacrifice of our brave soldiers who fought courageously during the Kargil War.
Satish, faculty member from the Social Science department, delivered an impactful speech in the morning assembly. He highlighted the historical context of the Kargil War, the challenges faced by our armed forces, and the strategic importance of reclaiming the territories from the infiltrators. He also emphasized the role of our soldiers as true heroes who put their lives on the line to safeguard the nation.
Display board dedicated to Kargil Vijay Divas was decorated by students that showcased the brave soldiers in action, the tricolor flag fluttering high, and various other visuals depicting the essence of the Kargil War.
Class 10th students penned essays on the topic "My Hero in Kargil." They expressed their thoughts on the valor and determination displayed by our soldiers in the face of adversity. The essays were heartfelt and showcased the profound respect the students hold for these real-life heroes.
Principal, Dr Yogesh Gambhir urged the students to draw inspiration from the bravery of our soldiers and to always value the freedom and security they have fought to safeguard.
