Sanjeev Arora, MP calls on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla
Member Parliament Rajya Sabha from Punjab Sanjeev Arora, on Saturday, called on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Delhi.
Ludhiana, October 9, 2022: Member Parliament Rajya Sabha from Punjab Sanjeev Arora, on Saturday, called on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Delhi.
“This was a courtesy call”, remarked Arora here today.
Arora said various issues related to education and health especially affordable health were discussed in the meeting. He added that he briefed the Lok Sabha Speaker about initiatives being taken in both the sectors by the present state government in Punjab. He laid stress that affordable health was need of the hour. He also spoke about importance of education in uplifting status of people belonging to poor sections of the society.
Arora also briefed on Charitable Trust being run by him for needy Cancer patients.
Om Birla Ji fondly remembered Lok Sabha tenure of the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who rose from humble background with his hard and sincere working.
Discussions were also held about various parliamentary matters and importance of role of the Opposition in smooth working of both Houses of the Parliament, he said.
Besides, discussions were also held about Kota parliamentary constituency in Rajasthan. It may be mentioned here that this parliamentary constituency belongs to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Arora remarked, “The meeting proved to be a great learning experience for me.”
