The event was a remarkable amalgamation of tradition and enthusiasm, symbolizing the spirit of togetherness and the joyous onset of the harvest season.
The highlight of the celebration was the ceremonial lighting of the bonfire, which was accompanied by the rhythmic beats of dhol and energetic bhangra performances by the students. Adding to the festive fervor, students from various grades presented traditional folk songs, dances, and speeches, paying homage to the rich cultural heritage of Punjab. The vibrant attire and spirited performances truly encapsulated the essence of this age-old festival.
Addressing the gathering, Rachna Monga, (Principal), expressed her delight at witnessing the students' active participation and dedication in showcasing the cultural ethos of Punjab. She remarked, "Lohri is not merely a festival; it is a celebration of gratitude and prosperity. It embodies the values of hard work, unity, and reverence for nature.
