Jalandhar, March 25, 2019: It was a moment of thrill and tough competition when the stage of CT World School was set on fire by the soulful and beautiful singing performances of 21 finalists of “Jalandhar Singing Star”- a singing competition organised by CT Group of Institutions and Bollywood Music Academy at CT World School along with Radio City 91.9 FM.

93 contestants from different cities namely Una, Mandi, Moga, Nawashaher, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Bhogpur and Jalandhar gave the auditions. Out of which, 21 contestants competed in the finale of the event, under three different categories which are 6-12 years, 12-18 years and 18- 32years. The Guests of Honor during the occasion remained singers Mangi Mahal, Ginni Mahi and Baldev Aujla. The competition was adjudged by renowned personalities from music industry namely Monu Kumar, Assistant Professor of Music; Dalwinder Dayalpuri, folk singer and judgement panelist for many national level music competitions and Inderbir Singh, AIG Cyber Crime, Punjab who is passionate for singing and playing guitar.

Singers Mangi Mahal and Ginni Mahi mesmerized audience with their singing performances.

The top three winners of the category 6-12 years remained Yuvraj Singh, Pavni Arora & Danish Sahi (tie) and Anik Puri whereas winners of the category 12-18 are Harjinder Singh (First), Abhijeet (Second) and Saurav (Third) and of the category 18-32, the first prize was bagged by Sapna, second by Gandharav and Lovepreet, third. The first winners of each category have got a golden ticket to record their song with Bollywood Music Academy.

Dalwinder Dayalpuri, one of the judges said, “It was a wonderful event organised in which participants performed extremely well. It became so confusing for us to select the top three winners of each category especially if we talk about category of 6-12 years.”

Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions said, “I congratulate all the winners and rest of the participants who made this event a grand success today. It was a pleasure to see participants coming from outside different cities in order to compete. I wish luck to the organizing team as well and wish to see similar big level events in the future too.”

On the occasion, Harpreet Singh, Vice-Chairman, Madhu Sharma, Principal, CT World School, Shiv Kumar from Bollywood Music Academy, Seema Soni from a radio station and Davinder Singh, Cultural Officer, CT Group and others were also present.
