Chandigarh, February 15, 2024: The students, faculty and staff of department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised Saraswati Poojan and celebrated Basant Panchmi.
On this auspicious day, Chairperson Professor Neelam Paul along with Professor Pampa Mukherjee, department of Political Science lightened diyas and worshiped Goddess Saraswati.
Professor Neelam Paul on this occasion said that Hindus celebrates Basant Panchami and honour Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of arts, music, wisdom, and knowledge. The students presented Saraswati Vandana, Raag Basant and also presented Instrumental orchestra.
Dr.Prabhkar Kashyan, eminent vocalist presented bandish “Maa Shardee Jagat Janani” in raag bairagi bhairav.
